Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation and Partners Celebrate National Black Business Month with Black Business Month Summer Soirée

Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation (PGCEDC) is proud to announce a collaborative celebration of National Black Business Month this August, in partnership with the Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce, FSC First, the Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce, and the Bi-County Business Roundtable. Together, these organizations will host the Black Business Month Summer Soirée on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the historic Newton White Mansion in Mitchellville, Maryland.

This event will showcase the vibrant and diverse Black business community in Prince George’s County, honoring entrepreneurs whose vision, innovation, and dedication contribute to the County’s thriving economy. In recognition of the occasion, PGCEDC is extending its official tagline to “Expansion Starts Here for Black Business,” underscoring its commitment to providing resources, opportunities, and connections that support Black-owned enterprises.

“National Black Business Month is a moment to feature several of the many successful businesses based in Prince George's County,” said Ebony Stocks, President & CEO of Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation. “We are delighted to be able to partner with the Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce, FSC First, Prince GEorge’s Chamber of Commerce and the Bi-County Business Roundtable to highlight the accomplishments of these businesses while also providing access to the EDC’s resources and programming, which fulfill our extended promise that Expansion Starts Here For Black Business.”

The Black Business Month Summer Soirée will feature networking opportunities, curated connections, and an atmosphere of celebration, bringing together business leaders, resource providers, and community stakeholders. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about available programs, share their business journeys, and expand their networks in a sophisticated summer setting.

Registration (Fee includes 8% service fee)

This event is open to the public and is especially ideal for entrepreneurs, small business owners, corporate partners, and supporters of the Black business community in Prince George’s County and the surrounding region.
