America's Seed Fund Summit Opens New Funding Pathways for Prince George's County Innovators
Prince George's County entrepreneurs developing breakthrough technologies have a unique opportunity this July to connect with the nation's largest source of early-stage, non-dilutive research and development funding.
The America's Seed Fund Summit, hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration, brings together entrepreneurs, innovators, researchers, investors, and entrepreneurial support organizations through a month-long series of virtual and in-person events designed to help technology companies navigate the federal funding landscape. The Summit connects participants with the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program—collectively known as America's Seed Fund—which awards more than $5 billion annually in non-dilutive funding to support high-growth technology startups.
Unlike traditional venture capital or equity financing, America's Seed Fund allows entrepreneurs to advance innovative technologies without giving up ownership in their companies. The program supports research, product development, commercialization, and technology transfer across a wide range of industries, including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, cybersecurity, clean energy, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, robotics, semiconductors, and medical technologies.
