Adventist HealthCare still needs significant Maryland funding before it can break ground on a new Fort Washington Medical Center, but its new president says construction could start as early as next year if it can secure about half of the $150 million it’s been seeking.
Daffodil Baez, who started in the role Jan. 27, says she picked up where predecessor Eunmee Shim left off with an advocacy campaign to lock in a crucial funding commitment from Maryland. The project would establish a new acute-care facility and outpatient medical office building at 7707 Kaydot Road.
