Cheonan City Delegation Following Successful Visit to South Korea

Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation (PGCEDC) proudly hosted a distinguished delegation from Cheonan City, South Korea, on April 15–16, 2025, strengthening the growing international partnership first initiated during a Prince George’s County delegation visit to Cheonan in September 2024. The delegation will also visit Atlanta, Georgia after their tour of Prince George's County.

The delegation’s itinerary included a warm welcome and formal gift exchanges at the Prince George’s County Building where they met Acting County Executive Tara H. Jackson and County Council Chair Edward P. Burroughs III. The delegation also made site visits to innovation leaders including NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the University of Maryland Discovery District. These visits highlighted the County’s strength in research, smart technology, and economic development.

PGCEDC Celebrates Regional Collaboration and Leadership at the 2025 MEDA Annual Conference

PGCEDC proudly participated in the 2025 Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA) Annual Conference—an influential event dedicated to strengthening regional partnerships, leveraging collective resources, and driving forward-thinking strategies that fuel economic innovation across Maryland.

This year’s theme is Maryland's North Star: Regions Coming Together. This theme emphasized the power of collaboration between counties, agencies, and stakeholders, all working toward a more resilient and prosperous state economy. The conference served as a platform for knowledge-sharing, networking, and showcasing the transformational impact of regional unity.

We are especially proud to congratulate our very own EDC Board Vice Chair Member, Marva Jo Camp, Esq., who was honored with the prestigious MEDA Volunteer of the Year Award. Her unwavering dedication and leadership continue to inspire and uplift our business community.

PGCEDC Supports Latino Entrepreneurship in Prince George’s County!

PGCEDC was proud to attend and support the recent four-day intensive training program dedicated to empowering Latino entrepreneurs in Prince George’s County. This impactful initiative provided participants with the knowledge, resources, and hands-on tools needed to successfully launch or scale their businesses, all at no cost.

By eliminating financial barriers to business education and support, this program reflects our shared commitment to fostering a more inclusive and thriving local economy. Participants gained insights into business planning, marketing strategies, financial management, and accessing capital.

At PGCEDC, we believe that Expansion Starts Here, and that includes ensuring all communities have access to the support they need to succeed.
