BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

The Business Development Division is responsible for the retention, expansion, and attraction of businesses to the County. Services include: expediting permits, tax abatements, workforce assistance, site identification, county and state financial assistance, and SBA financial assistance.

SMALL BUSINESS SERVICES

The Small Business Services (SBS) provides training to Prince George’s County CEO’s, including strategic planning, business development, and procurement opportunities. Services include: business certification assistance, contract financing and bonding, equipment and real estate financing, business and marketing plan development, and business incentives.

Workforce Services

The Workforce Services Division fosters economic growth in Prince George’s County by providing comprehensive solutions to people seeking career development assistance as well as to companies seeking employees with skill sets they need to fuel their growth.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

The International Business Program is designed to help businesses within the County expand through new and increased exports of their products and services and to partner with successful companies throughout the world.

TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANCE CENTER

The Technology Assistance Center (TAC) is an incubator program established to foster the creation and growth of early stage technology companies in Prince George’s County through the provision of affordable facilities and a broad range of business and technical services.

NEW DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

The new 130,000 square-foot Wegman’s Grocery Store located at Woodmore Town Center at Glenarden Shopping Centre is thriving. According to store manager, Ayana Douglas, “We want to be the place where families, business people, and the community gather."
