Who we are
The Prince George’s County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) is a dynamic team of private and public-sector partners with a shared goal – to promote economic prosperity, continued growth, and advancement among the county’s businesses and residents. Our mission is to create a comprehensive, highly responsive workforce investment system that delivers to businesses and job seekers the resources they need to remain competitive in the global marketplace.

The membership of the WIB is represented by:

• Private-sector businesses
• Public-sector agencies
• Educational agencies
• Community based organizations
• Organized labor

What we do
The WIB provides guidance and oversight of the local workforce investment system and  ensures that:

Businesses have the skilled workers and resources needed to remain competitive and prosper.

Job seekers can acquire the training and knowledge necessary to achieve long-term careers and begin to build wealth.

Youth have access to opportunities in education, career exploration, and work experience with which to build careers.
