SBI Contractors Development Program (CDP)

The Prince George’s County Contractors Development Program is a comprehensive course of study that will be geared towards CEOs of County construction firms. This 10-week course will be taught by local developers, Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) certified instructors and veteran CEOs of major construction firms. Some of the courses that will be taught are: Construction Accounting & Financial Management, Estimating & Bidding, Project Management at the Field Level and Contract Negotiations.

This program is in association with The Surety & Fidelity Association of America, Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC), Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), American Bar Association (ABA), local developers and a host of other industry experts.

This $500 course, valued at $4000, is designed to achieve three major objectives:

  1. to help firms manage and grow their business,
  2. to increase capacity of local construction firms in the County, and
  3. to strive for greater participation of local businesses in both public and private sector projects in the County.

Interested attendees must submit an online application and complete pre-test. Application, Pre-Test and all checklist documents must be received by April 4, 2008 deadline date. Firms selected to participate will be notified by April 8, 2008.
