Prince George's County is Making Deals at the International Council of Shopping Centers

Las Vegas, NV -  Today, EDC President and CEO Jim Coleman joined Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III, and several of his County economic development officials for meetings at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada with top retailers and developers looking to expand their brands in Prince George's County.  The Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation is attending the annual ICSC conference in search of new retail and development opportunities to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Prince George's County. 

"Today has been a fantastic first day of the ICSC Convention", said EDC President and CEO Jim Coleman.  "With nine scheduled strategic meetings and the numerous walk ups, we are thrilled that so many retailers are 'bullish' on Prince George's County.  The interest from so many top retailers confirms that it is truly morning in Prince George's County."

Other visitors to the Prince George's County booth included Maryland Governor Larry Hogan who stopped by the booth and took pictures with the Prince George's Team to demonstrate his commitment to his home County's economic development. 

Among the businesses that stopped by the County booth [CW#129] included a real estate development company that builds shopping centers, and has a short term goal of investing $40 million in Prince George's County within the next 45 to 90 days.  With a specific interest in building in Prince George's County, this company spoke with County business development specialists looking for locations for retail development projects in the County. In addition, a company looking to hire 15 new employees within the next 90 days, met with several County officials about their projects and jobs because of the new trend of progress being made throughout the County. The potential new projects and new jobs are certain to create new jobs for the County. 

As a result of Prince George's County's presence at ICSC, the booth generated 210+ walk up visitors. More meetings are scheduled for tomorrow.
