Prince George’s County EDC Unveils New Logo and Website

Largo, MD –The Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has a new look, a new motto and a stronger mission. On Friday, February 8, 2013, the agency unveiled a new logo and website that it hopes will make gathering information a bit easier for developers, retailers and business owners. The overhaul is just another step in the EDC’s new direction under the leadership of President and CEO Gwen McCall.

“We wanted a no-nonsense image that says we are serious about business growth and retention in this county,” said McCall. “The new logo is cleaner, futuristic. The new website is interactive and more user-friendly. We are especially pleased that one of our very own incubator companies, Strativia, designed these products for us.”

Strativia, an information technology and software development company, has been a resident of the EDC’s Technology Assistance Center (TAC) for three years. CEO Kenneth Kelly and his project management team, led by Kaunda Sampson, worked with EDC’s marketing staff to provide a more modern, streamlined appearance for the agency.

“This is a refreshing look for the EDC,” said Kelly. “The modern, professional look and feel of the website puts the EDC on par with other major economic development corporations around the country and reflects the excellence that is Prince George’s County.”

The partnership with one of its TAC companies allowed the EDC to deliver exceptional results, said McCall, and is a testament to the caliber of technology capabilities and talent within the EDC incubator.

The user-friendly, business-oriented website provides valuable information through search engines for current and prospective retailers and developers. Additional features include online information request forms and video links promoting local businesses and development projects.
