Prince George’s County Executive to Host Virtual Town Hall Meeting to Kick Off County’s Economic Development Activities

Largo, MD – Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III, and his Economic Development leadership team will host a virtual town hall meeting on Tuesday, October 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  During this webcast, the County Executive will be joined by officials from the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) to discuss his economic development vision, on-going initiatives, as well as his accomplishments since assuming office last year.  Participants with be able to listen, ask questions and share their opinions by logging-in at: http://engage.vevent.com/rt/pgcedc~101612.

“Economic Development Week is a great opportunity for us to promote some of the great things happening in Prince George’s County.  Businesses and residents will engage in a dialogue about some of the programs and initiatives to facilitate commercial growth and development currently taking place in Prince George’s County,” said Baker.  “There are innovative companies right here who are making strides and contributing to our local, state and national economy. We will highlight several of them during Economic Development Week.”

Prince George’s County Economic Development Week is coordinated by the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation.  The highlight of the week is a bus tour of several major commercial developments within the County.  County Executive Baker, elected officials and local media will participate in the tour.
