The Prince George’s County Technology Assistance Center (TAC), located at “Largo ’95” in newly renovated offices, was created by the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) to provide a nourishing environment for small high-tech companies. Over thirteen such firms call TAC their home, and nine companies have successfully graduated from the program since it began in late 2001.
The Center provides competitively-priced office space and onsite support services, including management and technical assistance for fledgling high technology companies. The Center consists of over eleven thousand square feet of ready-to-occupy space. Office sizes range from a hundred square feet to a six hundred square foot suite.
TAC companies utilize shared facilities such as meeting rooms, training rooms, a board room, fax, copiers and a reception area. A small business resource library is also located onsite, as is an equipped exercise room.
In order to receive favorable rental rates and other tenant benefits, companies entering the Center must, upon graduation, agree to remain and grow in Prince George’s County for a reasonable period of time following their graduation from the Center.
