How to change Outlook Password:

Step 1: Close Microsoft Outlook completely. (all open messages, all popup boxes everything — keep hitting cancel until everything closes)

Step 2: Open Internet Explorer. Go to Start, then Internet

Step 3: Visit http://mail.princegeorgescountymd.gov (Note that there is no www before mail)

Step 4: Login with your current username and password

Step 5: You will be taken to a window where you can change passwords. Your new password should be at least 8 characters long, have UPPERCASE, LOWERCASE and a NUMBER. It CANNOT have consecutive letters repeating (For example, you cannot have summer as your password) It cannot be similar to a password that you have used in the past. (For example, if your password was Welcome1 you cannot choose Welcome2 as your new password.)

Step 6: Once you get a message saying that the password is successfully changed. Close Internet.

Step 6a: If you get an error message, please call 301-883-5322 and tell them that your account was locked out while you were trying to change the password. Have them unlock the account and reset the password. The password is usually reset to Welcome1. Once it is reset, go back to step 1 and change it.

Step 7: Reopen Outlook and log in with new password!
